An Enchanting May Wedding at the Boston Public Library

Kaori and John were married on an early spring day nestled in the heart of historic downtown Boston. The couple wanted to incorporate a garden-like feel within the walls of the preeminent Boston Public Library – to create the most memorable moments as they blend their traditions & loved ones for a once in a lifetime day.

Their first look took place on the grand marble stairs outside of Bates Hall; capturing this very precious moment is always one of our most favorite parts of the day to be able to witness! We made our way to the iconic Courtyard where the ceremony was to take place after grabbing a few formal photos with the entire wedding party. Not to be outshined, Olive, the couple’s beloved collie (with her own social media following!), was ready to celebrate alongside and join in the festivities.

The ceremony was personal and heartfelt, full of raw emotion. One of their favorite parts was when John placed a daffodil in Kaori’s bouquet as a way to honor John’s mother. The afternoon progressed into Bates Hall for the reception where an almost magical atmosphere was created by the all-star team of vendors assembled by the couple. Surrounded by gorgeous spring blossoms, delicate touches of pink and timeless style, this wedding was truly picture perfect. Toasts and dinner progressed into dessert and dancing as Kaori and John enjoyed every second of this night. Heirloom Pictures was thrilled to capture this spectacular occasion and we are so happy to share their highlights with you!
