Julia + Gregg ~ Timeless Elegance at the Boston Public Library from Heirloom Pictures on Vimeo.
Julia and Gregg married on a lovely summer day at the unparalleled Boston Public Libary.
Heirloom Pictures recently had the pleasure of capturing Julia and Gregg at one of our most favorite locales in Boston; we love the Boston Public Library for many reasons, the least of which is its grand architecture and dramatic scenery. The day began as Julia and her closest girlfriends and family gathered at her parents’ place nearby. The ladies helped Julia with her final preparations for the day and put the finishing touches on before the couple’s First Look.
The couple chose the Grand Staircase as the location for their First Look where they shared in a few quiet moments before their ceremony. The magnificent Courtyard at the BPL is always a stunning backdrop for a wedding ceremony. Surrounded by their nearest and dearest, vows and rings were exchanged in a custom ceremony with a friend of the couple officiating. The celebration moved to cocktail hour followed by the reception in historic Bates Hall.
Filled with the glow of the antique green lamps, the couple chose a classic palette of whites, creams, and greens running down the center of each guest table. Julia and Gregg had been excited to have all of the loved ones in one room celebrating together alongside them – it is clear they were soaking up every moment. They listened to heartfelt toasts, enjoyed exquisite food and danced the night away enjoying every second of this memorable day. Julia and Gregg are looking forward to sharing these highlights with everyone and especially excited to share with Gregg’s grandmother and uncle who were unable to attend. Please enjoy!

Chelsey & Liang ~ Sweet Summer Wedding at the Historic Castle Hill on the Crane Estate from Heirloom Pictures on Vimeo.
Chelsey and Liang married on a lovely summer day at the historic Great House on the Crane Estate in Ipswich, MA.
The Crane Estate is one of the most absolutely stunning locations to hold an event. From it’s seaside location to the half-mile-long Grand Allée to the rich history of the estate and the beautiful architecture of the restored Great House, Chelsey and Liang knew the moment they visited it was the spot for them. They wanted a romantic and light affair with all the formality of a black-tie evening. Chelsey and Liang decided to have a First Look in the Italian Garden on the estate – one of our most favorite moments to capture for its poignant sweetness.
The rolling lawns of the Grand Allée make for an unbelievable backdrop for a ceremony. With gorgeous weather and panoramic views, Chelsey and Liang said their ‘I do’s’ surrounded by their nearest and dearest.
The reception held under the tent where the newlyweds and guests enjoyed dinner & toasts before packing the dance floor celebrating the night away! Heirloom Pictures is so thrilled to show Chelsey and Liang the highlights from their day. We know they are also excited to share with their family in China who was unable to make this special day. Please enjoy!

Exquisite Maine Elegance at Hidden Pond Kennebunkport
Dustin and Mallory were married on a fall day in Maine at beautiful Kennebunkport. These two met thanks in part to their love of vizslas as well as some friends nudging this love connection along. Their romance led to an impromptu trip to Maine where they fell in love with Hidden Pond, in particular, Earth – the onsite restaurant. They adored its blend of ease and intimacy. It was this trip that planted the seeds for the wedding to come.
It’s easy to see why they fell for Hidden Pond. The grounds are lush and full of gardens and lovely greenery; rustic elegance in every corner. Preparations for the day were well underway with ladies helping Mallory with dressing and her final details. Her dress was stunning with an equally gorgeous full bouquet. The gentlemen gathered together as well, enjoying good conversation and laughs while straightening ties and pinning flowers.
Feeling both intimate and warm, the ceremony was a balance of organic elements and touches of woodsy whimsy. With lanterns lining the aisle and under a draped floral archway, the bride and groom exchanged their vows in front of their loved ones. It’s not a surprise that these self-described ‘bourbon loving southerners’ know how to celebrate. Wooden tables laden with thick greenery and full blossoms complemented the elegant and romantic atmosphere. Surrounded by amazing food and a phenomenal dance band, Mallory was right, ‘black-tie doesn’t mean boring’! This tightknit group sure knew how to celebrate enjoying every last second with the newlyweds. We hope you enjoy their highlights as much as we did capturing them!

A Chic City Wedding at the State Room in Downtown Boston
Elysa and Keith exchanged vows on June 11, 2016 at the State Room in historic downtown Boston. Surrounded by history & culture, Elysa & Keith wanted to celebrate their marriage in the heart of the city where they met and live. What better location than the quintessential State Room offering sweeping panoramic views of the city they love. Elysa’s spent quality time getting ready with her nearest and dearest in preparation for one of her favorite moments of the day, the first look. She recalls savoring the moments leading up to and during the first look where they enjoyed the first glimpses of each other and a quick private moment. Reminiscing on the day, Keith confessed his most favorite part of the day was Elysa walking down the aisle towards him.
Their love for hosting was evident with a sweet and elegant ceremony blending cultures and families. Intimate candlelight complemented by walls washed in warm light made for a stunningly beautiful reception. Friends and family gathered to toast, celebrate, feast, and of course, dance the night away. They are especially excited to share the highlights with Keith’s Grandmother who was unable to attend the festivities. Truly a good time was had by all. Please enjoy the highlights as much as we did capturing this lovely June day!
