Chelsey & Liang ~ Sweet Summer Wedding at the Historic Castle Hill on the Crane Estate from Heirloom Pictures on Vimeo.
Chelsey and Liang married on a lovely summer day at the historic Great House on the Crane Estate in Ipswich, MA.
The Crane Estate is one of the most absolutely stunning locations to hold an event. From it’s seaside location to the half-mile-long Grand Allée to the rich history of the estate and the beautiful architecture of the restored Great House, Chelsey and Liang knew the moment they visited it was the spot for them. They wanted a romantic and light affair with all the formality of a black-tie evening. Chelsey and Liang decided to have a First Look in the Italian Garden on the estate – one of our most favorite moments to capture for its poignant sweetness.
The rolling lawns of the Grand Allée make for an unbelievable backdrop for a ceremony. With gorgeous weather and panoramic views, Chelsey and Liang said their ‘I do’s’ surrounded by their nearest and dearest.
The reception held under the tent where the newlyweds and guests enjoyed dinner & toasts before packing the dance floor celebrating the night away! Heirloom Pictures is so thrilled to show Chelsey and Liang the highlights from their day. We know they are also excited to share with their family in China who was unable to make this special day. Please enjoy!

Exquisite Maine Elegance at Hidden Pond Kennebunkport
Dustin and Mallory were married on a fall day in Maine at beautiful Kennebunkport. These two met thanks in part to their love of vizslas as well as some friends nudging this love connection along. Their romance led to an impromptu trip to Maine where they fell in love with Hidden Pond, in particular, Earth – the onsite restaurant. They adored its blend of ease and intimacy. It was this trip that planted the seeds for the wedding to come.
It’s easy to see why they fell for Hidden Pond. The grounds are lush and full of gardens and lovely greenery; rustic elegance in every corner. Preparations for the day were well underway with ladies helping Mallory with dressing and her final details. Her dress was stunning with an equally gorgeous full bouquet. The gentlemen gathered together as well, enjoying good conversation and laughs while straightening ties and pinning flowers.
Feeling both intimate and warm, the ceremony was a balance of organic elements and touches of woodsy whimsy. With lanterns lining the aisle and under a draped floral archway, the bride and groom exchanged their vows in front of their loved ones. It’s not a surprise that these self-described ‘bourbon loving southerners’ know how to celebrate. Wooden tables laden with thick greenery and full blossoms complemented the elegant and romantic atmosphere. Surrounded by amazing food and a phenomenal dance band, Mallory was right, ‘black-tie doesn’t mean boring’! This tightknit group sure knew how to celebrate enjoying every last second with the newlyweds. We hope you enjoy their highlights as much as we did capturing them!
Thanks so much to David Murray for the lovely cover photo!

Whimsical Garden Wedding in Southern Massachusetts
Sam and Enrique’s late summer wedding at their family’s home in southern Massachusetts was a splendid example of New England charm and easy elegance. A picture perfect setting at Samantha’s family home in South Dartmouth; full of abundant and expansive gardens and long grasses on a sprawling property. We began the day as the finishing touches and final preparations were underway. Inside the house, the bride was excitedly getting ready for the First Look and Ketubah signing. With a lovely lace detailed dress and a bouquet brimming with flowers, Samantha greeted her sharply dressed groom as they shared a private moment of joy. After the First Look, the couple took some time to stroll the property and take the significance of the day in.
Thoughtful details greeted guests – family photos attached to a tree in the yard – making for a unique ‘family tree’, handmade wooden signs, a lavish aisle ready for dried flower petal confetti and, of course, the family Buick on display courtesy of Sam’s grandfather. The chuppah, a lovely pergola swathed with lightweight fabric and lush greenery, made for a grand backdrop for Sam and Enrique to take lifelong vows. The rabbi sang beautifully as the bride and groom completed their traditional Jewish oaths. One of the bride’s favorite moments was being wrapped in the talit while she and Enrique looked at each other.
Under the tent, the romance and garden whimsy continued with soft accent lighting and centerpieces full of natural, unfussy florals – each table adorned by dahlias grown by Sam’s father. The dancefloor was consumed with a rousing horah and guest rejoicing alongside the newlyweds; the absolute joy on their faces says it all. In the end, the evening was full of tender moments, big smiles and lots of homegrown fun. Heirloom Pictures is thrilled to present to you Samantha and Enrique’s highlights – mazel tov!

Elegant Rhode Island Wedding at Linden Place in Bristol
Jenny and Ian were married on June 20, 2015 at the historic and elegant Linden Place in Bristol, RI. Jenny and Ian picked this location with its picturesque downtown and waterfront charm mostly for their guests so that they would have a lovely destination to vacation at while visiting for the wedding. For Jenny and Ian the most memorable moment of the day was when Jenny came down the aisle and walked to Ian. The formal garden with its abundant flower bushes was a perfect romantic setting for the ceremony and the candle lit carriage house turned reception hall was cozy and intimate for their reception. While guests danced and celebrated inside, the rain made a bold entrance but mother nature is a true lady and knew when it was time to leave. The clouds parted just in time for the sparkler exit. Congratulations Jenny and Ian on your beautiful day, the Beshert thing worked. 😉

Picturesque Seaside Wedding at the gorgeous Crane Estate in Ipswich, MA
Sarah and Mark were married on September 26th, 2014 at the Immaculate Conception Church located in the picturesque seaside town of Newburyport, MA. The couple wanted a location that reflected the classic New England feel and the raw beauty of Cape Ann, where Sarah grew up. For the reception, the couple chose the elegant and historic Great House at the Crane Estate overlooking Ipswich Bay, where Sarah’s family has kept their boat for years. Her family has explored all the marshes, dunes and beaches that make up the Crane Estate, an activity that Mark quickly became a part of when the two met. The Great House had been a dream venue of Sarah’s for a long time and when Mark got the chance to tour it, he quickly agreed!
Though there were so many incredible moments to recall during the ceremony, Mark’s favorite moment was seeing Sarah for the first time from down the aisle. There were little school kids behind her that saw her step off the trolley and couldn’t help themselves but to sneak a peek of her as she entered the church and went down the aisle. Sarah’s favorite moment was arriving at the end of the aisle with her dad (who gave Mark a huge hug) and then getting to finally join arms with Mark and step up to the altar. Sarah and Mark are especially excited to show these highlights to Mark’s grandmother who could not attend the wedding, enjoy!
