Anna and Chris ~ A Warm and Whimsical Wedding at the Crane Estate in Ipswich, MA

Anna and Chris met in the Fall of 2009 at Reed College, when their paths crossed in the dorms, and the two quickly became friends. It wasnt until 2013 that after dancing around each other for months the two finally began dating and five years later, in 2018, were engaged in Tossa de Mar Spain. The two picked the Crane Estate for the wedding for is beautiful grounds filled with color and living things as well as the incredible architecture and classical beauty. Although the two were married in a private ceremony in 2020 due to the twists and turn of the pandemic, they were thrilled to finally celebrate with family and friends at the Crane Estate!

We started our day as the bride and groom were finishing getting ready. Having already been officially married the year before is was sweet that the two could actually get ready together without fear of ruining and traditions of not seeing each other! It was then onto portraits around the grounds with family and friends before the ceremony.

For the ceremony. The bride and groom chose the sunken Italian garden. Mid July proved to be the perfect time to see this garden in full summer bloom and color. Guests gathered under the blue sky to witness the long awaited ceremony. Anna and Chris loved the vows they wrote together and were especially excited to recite them before loved ones. So at long last, with the stone fountain of the Italian garden as their backdrop, Anna and Chris made their vows and sealed the deal with a kiss.

The celebration that followed was marked by wonderful toasts and incredible food! At cocktail hour the sun made its lazy dip behind the trees as guests clinked glasses and nibbled delicious hors d’oeuvres then made their way into the sail cloth tent for the reception. Tables were decorated with crisp white linens and accented with bright florals including the standout sunflowers which also decorated the brides hair. Finally it was time to dance! Everyone gathered on the back terrace to celebrate to songs hand picked by the bride and groom!

Anna and Chris, we were so happy to be there for you to capture your day and spend time with you, your family and wonderful friends! Wishing you both much happiness in your many years to come!

Sincerely, Marcella and the Heirloom Pictures team!
