Carly and Andrew – A Romantic and Joyous Wedding Celebration at Granite Links in Quincy, MA

Carly and Andrew were married at Granite Links Golf Club in Quincy, MA. Friends and family came from near and far and gathered together for a celebration years in the making!

Back in 2012, having just moved into her dorm as a freshman at Lehigh University, Carly was invited to one of her first college parties by a family friend. Being the eager freshman that she was, she arrived at the party quite early! While looking for her friend who invited her she tapped on the shoulder of a handsome police officer, or so she thought! As it turns out, the handsome police officer was actually EMT Andrew who was just off to his shift. Later that night after work, Andrew circled back to the party and found the pretty freshman who had gotten his attention earlier that night. Fast forward a few years and we find ourselves at a wedding day!

We started out day with Carly and Andrew as they got themselves ready for their first look. Carly’s room was filled with laughter and was buzzing with excitement and energy. As the men gathered together to dress spirits we high with music playing and the grooms men greeting Andrew with many back slaps and hugs as they helped with cufflinks, bowties and boutonnieres.

Once at Granite Links, Carly put on her dress with the ladies and Andrew gathered in the Tavern with his men. On to the Lyons Turning Mill ruins for the First Look, the location is a wonderful reminder of the site quarry past! With the sun shining through the trees and granite structure of the Mill, Carly and Andrew had their first look and enjoyed a few moments alone before the day got rolling.

The ceremony under the Chuppah was one of the moments Carly and Andrew were most excited about. Family is so important to them and incorporating traditions and heirlooms into the ceremony was a must. Carly wore her mothers wedding veil and during their ceremony, Carly and Andrew were wrapped in Andrew’s grandfathers tallit. The Chuppah also featured Carly and Andrews tallitot from their Bar and bat mitzvahs.

After sincere and also funny personal vows and a final blessing, Carly and Andrew celebrated their union with the breaking of the glass, a hearty “Mazel Tov!” and some very sweet kisses. Next it was onto the cocktail hour where guests mingled and congratulated the couple with warm hugs.

Besides the ceremony itself, Carly and Andrew were so excited to celebrate and dance with everyone at there wedding! The reception started with the couples entrance and cheers that shook the room. After a romantic first dance and a rollicking Hora, the couple enjoyed heartfelt toasts from family and friends before breaking bread. Once dinner was over, the dance floor was jammed as the band rocked on! I don’t think we have ever seen a more packed dance floor!

Carly and Andrew, thank you so much for having us at your wedding. We truly enjoyed spending the day shooting for you among your wonderful family and friends. Wishing you and your new little family (puppy parents!) much joy! ~ Marcella
