Jaimie and Oisin ~ A Charming Boston Wedding at the John F Kennedy Library

Jaimie and Oisin were married at the incredible John F Kennedy Library and Museum. This I. M. Pei designed memorial Library, located on Columbia Point in Boston with it’s light and airy interior was the perfect location for the couples wedding ceremony and celebration.

We started our day with the bride and the ladies getting ready together with music and champagne at Jaimie’s family home. Once hair was curled, cheeks were blushed and she slipped into her elegant gown, Jaimie had a very sweet first look with her father. Just across town we also spent time with Oisin, surrounded by friends and family, as he dressed in preparation to see his bride. So many guests had gathered together for this day including dear family and friends from Oisin’s home of Ireland.

The ceremony took place in the JFK Museum Pavillion. This nine-story glass atrium with stunning views of the Boston Harbor Islands, the city skyline and the sparkling waters off Columbia Point welcomes guests in grand style. Rows of white chairs and lush ivory and green floral design created a warm and cozy oasis in the vast hall. The opening Irish blessing recited in Gaelic was the start to a beautiful ceremony. After the vows and pledges of love, the couple exchanged rings and ended their ceremony with a perfect first kiss.

Next was the cocktail hour. Guests were treated to lovely cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres while an acoustic duet playing music in the background. Our newlyweds slipped away into the halls of the museum for photos and joyed a few moments alone before the reception.

Upon entering the reception in Smith Hall, guests were greeted by a seating chart inspired by the one and only Jackie Kennedy. The chart was a reproduction of the one used at the wedding of the then Ms. Bouvier and Jack Kennedy. This time of course, it was filled with the names of Jaimie and Oisin’s family and friends. The hall itself was filled with tables covered in crisp white linens, more lush greens and ivory as well as blush pink florals which matched the bridal party bouquets and played beautifully off of the softly colored fabric that draped the walls of the hall.

As the Boston skyline shimmered just outside the vast glass facade of the grand room, with a cheer from their family and friends the couple was introduced for the first time as husband and wife. They were then treated to lovely toasts before finally taking the floor for their first dance and then dancing the night away with all.

Jaimie and Oisin, thank you again for allowing us to be part of your incredibly fun and absolutely beautiful wedding! We hope you enjoy sharing this highlights with the family and friends who mean so much to you here and abroad.
