We hope you will enjoy viewing our work and seeing some of the beautiful weddings we have been so fortunate to document!
Liza and Will grew up together just outside of Boston and were high school sweethearts. Over the many years after high school, while attending different colleges, grad schools and living in different cities around the world, the two remained a couple and ultimately navigated their way back to Boston to finally be together! Their engagement in New York City three years ago had been written in the stars of their Massachusetts home town many years before and these two world travelers were home again.
Growing up in Boston, when the bride and groom thought of the city they immediately thought of Copley. The Boston Public Library was the perfect venue for them to showcase one of their favorite places to their guests. Very fun fact, visiting guests stayed at the Copley Plaza for the wedding where Liza and Will attended prom together at the Copley Plaza in 2008. The couple was also delighted to bring their guests to their childhood church where they first struck up a conversation. Sharing that part of their life with visiting guests also meant a lot to them.
We started our day with our bride and groom as they got ready for their first look at the Fairmont. This grande dame of Bostons historic hotels was the perfect setting for the two to get ready for their day with the Boston Public Library peeking gin through the windows from just across the street. Liza was looking lovely putting on her finishing touches while surrounded by her maids all in batching Delft blue pajamas. Will was looking dapper as he donned his black tie and tux, toasted with his grooms men and set out to St. James avenue for the first look at his bride. The bride and groom frankly looked gorgeous and seeing their reactions to seeing each other was incredibly sweet and lovely to see.
After some fun moments taking their formal photos around town, they made their way to the Wellesley Village Church for their ceremony. The wedding day was blessed with perfect weather as guests slowly gathered to watch the bride and groom wed. This wonderfully restored, turn of the century church was an elegant location for the ceremony with its white wooden pews, interior Roman columns and balcony organ. And so surround by their family and friends, Liza and Will said their “I do’s” in the same place many years ago they had first said hello.
Next was back to Copley to the celebration at the Boston Public Library. Guests gathered for a lively cocktail hour in the cloistered courtyard and clinked glassed to the bride and groom. Bates Hall was set for dinner and guests walked the grand staircase to a wonderful entrance and first dance from the newlyweds and loving toasts from the couples nearest and dearest. Finally it was on to the Abby Room for dancing! The band played into the night for the packed dance floor as the celebration continued.
Liza and Will, it was so lovely to meet you both and spend the day with your wonderful family and friends. Congratulations again to you both on your perfect wedding day!
